Question by Fafnir: How long can you run before you burn muscle?
I know that if you do a lot of jogging it will start to burn muscle, but I’ve heard anywhere from 30 minutes being to much to 1 hour being the limit.
So my question is how long can I run before I start burning muscle? And as long as I don’t go over that limit can I still jog every day?

If your body has enough fuel (calories) to run on then you won’t burn muscle. This means eating a good meal 1-2 hours before you jog and possibly a snack 30-45 minutes before. You shouldn’t feel full right before you go for a jog. Also, you should eat something within 20 minutes to an hour after your run. Low fat chocolate milk or a sandwich on whole wheat bread are good options.
